Privacy policy

Fiscal ID is a Shopify app operated by Fiscal ID Labs (“we”). This policy explains what data the app processes when a merchant installs it and when their customers use their store.
Data we process
- Merchant data: your store domain, the app settings you choose, and the access token Shopify issues so the app can read and update orders and customers in your store.
- Order data: for each order we receive the order ID, order number, cart attributes and the customer ID, so we can validate the tax ID and write it to the order. We store the order ID, order number, validation status and the validated tax ID.
- Customer data: the tax identification number a buyer enters, and the customer ID it belongs to. The app does not store names, addresses, emails or payment details.
Why we process it
To validate the tax ID, store it on the order and the customer record in Shopify, tag orders that need attention, and show the merchant a list of processed orders. We do not use the data for anything else and we do not sell it or share it with third parties.
Where it is stored
Application servers run on Vercel and the database is hosted by Neon in Frankfurt, Germany (EU). Data is transmitted over TLS.
Retention and deletion
When a merchant uninstalls the app we delete their access token immediately and all remaining store data within 48 hours, when Shopify sends the shop redaction request. Customer data requests and redaction requests received from Shopify under GDPR are honoured automatically.
Your rights
Merchants and their customers can request access to, correction of, or deletion of their data by writing to support@fiscalidlabs.com. Customers should normally contact the store they bought from, who can pass the request on to us.
